The Art of Being Consistent

Step one, show up! Major, major step. You don’t have to be the most talented, the most
decorated person in the room, or universe. Just show up! And, when you do, be the hardest
working person there. More times than not, you’re the one that’s there, so you, out work you.
Boom! The tortoise always gets there, the hare, not so much. Many distractions along the way.
Your answer doesn’t always have to be “yes”, but make it “sure”. Be a “sure” man. You will gain
respect, and always get more work. Unless you’re a dumbass! Don’t be the dumbass, that
always shows up..! You might get the invite, for the laugh. But, if that’s your stig’, rock it!
Don’t be consistent for them, be consistent for you. Push, or pull yourself forward. “Time to
make the mutha’ fuckin’, donuts”. The tortoise will outlive the hare’s next 10 generations. I
guess you could also be the turtle, those little, adorable, bastards are quick! Once, they get
there, that is. Run your little ass to the water. Your instinct will guide you, and you know in your
gut, once you’re there, you’re good! What was I talking about? Oh, yeah! Steady wins, with shit
eating grins. I was talking with a C list actor once, “he’s totally recognizable”, and he’s been in
dozens of films, he’s seldom in the first ten names in the credits, but he’s there, none the less.
When he’s not working, he’s literally living his best life, with his badass RV, traveling wherever
the hell, he wants.
Consistent! Every once in awhile, he nails that big role, but he’s always getting work!
